Cyber Threat Analyst for Cyber Defense

We are looking for a cyber threat analyst to work at a strategic level in the Cyber Defense Command, assessing qualified cyber threat actors and their impact on the Armed Forces.

Main Responsibilities

As an analyst at the Cyber Defense Command, you will work in an environment where your technical skills and experiences are placed in a strategic context.

You will work with unique national and international information flows where you will analyze qualified data both individually and with colleagues. The analyses will form the basis for incident management, the Cyber Defense's situational awareness, and as a basis for cyber defense operations. The work includes international and national collaborations as well as continuous learning regarding attack vectors, methodologies, and state-sponsored cyber threat actors.

Qualifications

  • Degree from a university or equivalent qualifications.
  • Documented experience in analytical work within cyber threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or equivalent.
  • Excellent ability to compile and present information in both spoken and written form.
  • Several years of work experience as an analyst in the IT security field, analyzing cyber actors or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Armed Forces or another authority, preferably at a central level or staff.
  • Experience and knowledge of methods within intelligence services or intelligence functions, knowledge of threat actors and vulnerabilities in the cyber environment.
  • Practical experience in incident management or leading incident management.
  • Experience in planning or executing cyber operations.

Other Information

The position is full-time, permanent employment with a six-month probation period, starting date to be agreed upon. The position is open to both civilian and military personnel. The workplace is Stockholm.

The position is classified, and we will conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Therefore, you must be a Swedish citizen.
